Inpatient treatment is what many people think of when they hear the word “rehab,” but residential programs have become vastly outnumbered in the past couple of decades.
While it was much more common for people to fly off to destination rehabs around the country 15 or 20 years ago, it takes either truly exceptional programs to have that kind of draw these days or people who are actively looking for inpatient treatment facilities away from their homes. Otherwise, due to more programs having to go in-network with insurance carriers, there are usually well qualified treatment options relatively nearby.
